Class and Cultural Divide

The class system is the one thing that divides the country us. It separates those who struggle to make it by from the those who get paid to just breath. Currently in America, wage gaps are a main contributor to keeping everyone divided. American Progress did an article that talked about how women made less money than men do, about 78 cents to the dollar. It then starting say how depending on race and ethnicity, the percentages starts to vary.

This reflects back to one of the most talked about books out on the market: Voracity. Tomas’ character is interesting in the way he challenges the idea that the wealthy don’t understand work ethics. While he is born into a rich family who loves luxurious items, they want to teach their son the value of a dollar.
